Running the Server from command line

If you do not want to run the server as a service, you may run if from the command line.  If you are running Windows 98 or Me, this will be your only choice.

  1. Open a DOS prompt.

    1. With Windows 2000 or XP, click Start : Run and enter cmd

    2. With other versions of Windows, click Start : Run and enter command

  2. Type cd \program files\dw6000 monitor and press enter.

    1. Note: If you installed the monitor in a different directory during setup, cd to that directory.

  3. Type dw6000server

  4. To stop the server from running, type CTRL-C (that's the CTRL or CONTROL key pressed with the C key)
